National Asset Recovery Services is expected to announce a significant expansion to its Cape Girardeau call center staff at 11 a.m. Tuesday, according to Mitch Robinson, executive director of Cape Girardeau Area Magnet. According to its website, the financial services and business process outsourcing company is hiring more than 100 new employees in Cape Girardeau.
As part of the event, NARS will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its expanded day care operation that is now open to the public. The company received a State of Missouri Child Care Facility Improvement Grant and held local fundraisers to improve the day care's playground area.
NARS, based in St. Louis, employs more than 3,000 people at call centers in St. Louis, Cape Girardeau, Minneapolis, Monticello, Minn.; Decorah, Iowa; Panama City, and Montego Bay, Jamaica.
NARS' president, Chris Buehrle, is a Cape Girardeau native.
