Cape CTC Robotics Team to compete at state

The Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center Robotics Team earned the Rockwell Collins Innovate Award at the recent First Tech Challenge at the A.C. Brase Arena. The team-- all Cape Central High School Students-- created a new and improved design of their award-winning Tiger Tron robot, which competed previously at the state competition in St. Louis. The new design improved the robot's mobility and efficiency. Pictured above, left to right, are Instructor Collin Sheridan, students Lars Monia, senior; Mary Dohogne, senior; and Kendra Kelch, freshman. Not pictured is Husam Wadi, sophomore. Instructors Collin Sheridan and David Papendick, as well as volunteer David Baldwin, are the team's mentors. They will all participate in the state competition at Missouri University of Science and Technology at Rolla, February 26, in a bid to go to the national competition.
