Cape man charged with burglary after allegedy trying to enter house he said was his

A man is accused of trying to break into a home, yelling at a woman he did not know from the front porch and trying to remove the door to gain entry when police officers arrived and made an arrest.

Justin Jarvis, 42, of Cape Girardeau was charged with first-degree burglary, a Class C felony.

It appears that Jarvis might not have realized at which house he had arrived. While the woman at the house said she had never seen Jarvis before, he claimed he “lived at the residence".

Before trying to break into the home, Jarvis allegedly yelled a name the woman at the residence did not recognize.

Judge Frank Miller issued a $25,000 cash bond.

Folks are severely addicted these days! Some smoking so much weed daily, going to emergency room with nausea! Saw a car traveling at least 70 mph on north kingshighway in front of kidds this morning.

The guy got off lucky. 15 or 20 years ago, a similar thing happened near downtown. An inebriated guy was pounding on the wrong door and a frightened lady used a shotgun and shot through the door. Killed the guy. She wasn't charged.

I can only assume it was somewhere in Cape, sorry, I know that isn't much help.

I only say that, because if it were in the Out-County? The result may have been a bit-less cordial than he got in this-case.

Just like the goof-ball of an-unrelated issue at Starlight, trying to hide in tall grass a few-days back. Yeah, they walk amongst us every-day, everywhere.

Always wondered what gave him away. Visual by a two-legged-Deputy? Or maybe a bit of assistance from a four-legged one?

Either way, it was NOT-an intellegent place/way to hide, since it makes a perp a very-good target for "other-methods-of-solution" for his issues...
