Cardinals season

The St Louis Cardinal’s have been playing some exciting baseball the last month. The pitching has been the main reason for their turnaround and although I and others have been critical of Mozeliak, he did a good job putting together a veteran pitching staff. And the manager, although inexperienced, he has done a good job managing the relief pitchers. They all will benefit from the All-Star break, and Ryan Hensley deserves a lot of credit for saving many close games.

Cognitive evaluation

The quickest way to end all the distractions about which presidential candidate is mentally competent is to have both undergo an extensive cognitive evaluation with an independent medical professional and then report the results to the American people. That should make the choices much clearer.

Second chances

Does everyone need and get a second chance? Murder someone and you think you need a second chance? That dead person isn’t getting a second chance nor does that dead person’s family get a replacement person in that family.

Presidential scandals

I can remember the good old days when even the hint of a scandal would disqualify someone from being a presidential candidate. Now we have a candidate who’s been convicted of 34 felonies, found liable for a sexual assault, found liable for tax fraud, found liable for under/overvaluations of his properties to cheat on taxes and loans, tried to overthrow the government in a coup attempt and stole classified documents and lied about having them. I don’t know what’s worse, the person in question or the people who plan to vote for him. Perhaps both!
