Three local chambers plan events for upcoming week

A plethora of chambers of commerce events are in the works this week, including networking opportunities and business breakfasts.

• Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Business After Hours event at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Leet Eyecare, 3140 Blattner Drive. The chamber will also have its monthly Business Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at the Jackson Civic Center, 381 E. Deerwood Drive.

• Scott City Area Chamber of Commerce will host its own business breakfast event with the Morning Chamber Coffee from 7:15 to 7:50 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at The Front Porch, 1408 Main St.

• Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce’s Brew and Business networking event is planned for 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15. It will take place at Minglewood Brewery, 121 Broadway, and is geared toward small-business owners and managers.
