Wishing you a Blessed Easter

"So the Word became Human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father." (John 1:14)

This weekend marks the celebration of Easter, the holiday that observes the cornerstone of the Christian faith -- the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We join together with family and friends on this day to celebrate and reflect on this holy event. This is a time to rejoice in the glory of Jesus Christ's resurrection and focus on the joy that holy event brings.

Our observance of Easter begins with Good Friday, which marks the day Jesus, through his death, took upon himself the sins of the world. In doing so, Jesus affirmed the promise of torgiveness for our sins.

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!" (Romans 5:8-9).

The true celebration of Easter is on Sunday, as we gather to observe when Jesus conquered death and arose from the grave. With this miracle, He affirmed the promise of eternal life.

"Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." (1 Peter 1: 3). The message of this event is a strong one - no matter how bad things may seem, there is hope through God's love.
