Fleming's BBQ Sauce - It's a Family Tradition!
Posted Sunday, May 22, 2011, at 7:51 AM
The next time you fire up the grill, I suggest you grab a pot, a few ingredients, and stir up a batch of this simple, great tasting barbecue sauce!
Bob Fleming, and his fabulous recipe, rolled into town more than 30 years ago. My family is still making this sweet, smokey sauce and serving it with pulled pork, ribs, and grilled pork steaks. The sauce has a little "heat" but you can adjust it to your taste. I always make a double batch of sauce...at least. I hope you enjoy this family tradition! Thanks, Bob!
Bob Fleming's Barbecue Sauce
2 (14 oz.) bottles Heinz ketchup
1 ½ oz. liquid smoke
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon celery seed
8 oz. dark brown sugar
Mix together and simmer 45 minutes
