Sabreliner and Teamsters negotiations ongoing

Larry Tinker, president and business representative of Teamsters Local Union No. 600, said contract negotiations between Teamsters and the Sabreliner Corporation still are ongoing, and will resume Tuesday at 9 a.m.

The Republic Monitor of Perryville, Mo., reported Thursday that Teamsters, which represents a large part of Sabreliner's employee base, unanimously voted "no" to Sabreliner's proposed contract terms.

The vote came after both parties agreed to a weeklong extension of the current contract due to ongoing negotiations of a new contract.

Phone calls to Steve Sperry, the vice president of business development for Sabreliner, have not been returned.
