Ben Affleck pumped about working with Fincher and pumping up for Batman
Production is continuing on "Gone Girl," even if it isn't happening in our backyard.
In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ben Affleck talked about his experience working with director David Fincher.
"I truly kind of show up with a notepad," Affleck says in the interview. "He's the only director I've worked with who I felt like could do everyone else's job as well, if not better, than they could; who is able to articulate exactly what he was thinking; and who understands the technical side of the work as much as the creative side, which is to say, a lot. I've learned more from David in a day or two than I have most movies I've spent 80 days on."
That's pretty high praise, considering Affleck himself has won praise as a director of three feature films: "Gone Baby Gone," "The Town" and Best Picture-winner "Argo."
And while he's tight-lipped on anything that could spoil the film for people who haven't read the book, he does offer this nugget:
"But I will say that Gillian adapted it and I think it's very, very faithful to her book. If you read the book and liked it, you will definitely like the movie."

Meanwhile, Ben's preparing for his next role even as "Gone Girl" filming continues. In case you haven't heard, he's playing Batman in the upcoming "Man of Steel" sequel.
But "Gone Girl" costume designer Trish Summerville doesn't want him to bulk up too much just yet.
"I'm trying to keep him at the size he's at right now until he's done with us," Summerville told E! News at the "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" premiere in L.A. earlier this week. "I'm sure he's working out but I think for him, he's probably a guy that builds up really quickly so I just kind of asked him if he can stay where he's at right now."
