"The Bar" has new owner
Posted Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at 11:46 AM
The building at 117 Themis St. in downtown Cape Girardeau -- most recently known as The Bar from the set of the 20th Century Fox feature film "Gone Girl" -- has been sold, confirmed John Wyman of Merriwether Investments.
He said there was quite a bit of interest in the building, including those wishing to lease or own it.
Wyman worked closely with the "Gone Girl" crew, and said paraphernalia from the feature film was left behind and could be used in the new business.
"If it's done right, it could just be knock out," Wyman said of the potential business.
Stay tuned to the Southeast Missourian for the latest developments on the property.
