Flynn to Fincher: 'Are you a witch?'
Cape Girardeau gained a little more fame with a mention in Wednesday's USA Today.
Reporter Jocelyn McClurg talked to Gillian Flynn about the changed ending of "Gone Girl" and her upcoming collaboration with the film's director, David Fincher.
Of the changed ending, Flynn told USA Today, "It was in my good and dark and evil hands," and added that she thinks she and Fincher work so well together because of their similarly dark senses of humor.
The story in USA Today said Flynn spent some time in Cape Girardeau. She said the scenes were recreated so accurately she had to ask Fincher, "Are you a witch? It's like you pulled this out of my head and made it real."
"Gone Girl" opens in theaters Oct. 3. The novel is No. 10 on the New York Times Best Sellers list.
