Reznor: 'Gone Girl' is going to be 'nasty'
As previously reported, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails is composing the score for "Gone Girl." And he recently told Entertainment Weekly he thinks the movie is, in a word, "nasty."
Reznor said while the film "has been really fun to work on" and has kept him and songwriting partner Atticus Ross on their toes, it is also much darker than he had expected.
"The book is not exactly uplifting or happy, but it's a nasty film," he told Entertainment Weekly.
He said he and Ross sat down with "Gone Girl" director David Fincher to hear his vision for the film and the score's role. Reznor has previously collaborated with Fincher on his films "The Social Network" and "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," according to Entertainment Weekly, and the process each time has been similar.
