Fox exec: Fincher stuck the landing

Worried about the much-rumored changed ending of "Gone Girl"?
Emma Watts, president of production at 20th Century Fox, says fans have no cause for concern.
Watts, who spoke to The Hollywood Reporter for its July 4 issue, said, "[Director David] Fincher just crushed it." The magazine says Watts helped convince Fincher to take on the project.
Watts added that the novel's author, Gillian Flynn, "had more freedom than anyone else would have in terms of what to keep and what to lose. ... I think she has this unique ability to be both editor of her work and creator at the same moment."
