Posted Thursday, May 13, 2010, at 9:27 AM
The Drunken Monkey will open in June at 36 N. Spanish St. in Cape Girardeau.
The new bar will include a pool table and video games, according to a business license application filed with the city.
Owners Benjamin Burch and Alicia Dumbach also own Margarita Mama's on North Main Street.
Another downtown Cape Girardeau bar will likely change ownership soon. Earl and Kim Bennett of Jackson are in negotiations to purchase Roxy's Big Country Saloon at 107 N. Main St. The bar is currently owned by John Wyman, who said the sale is still pending.
