Melissa Miller is business editor at The Southeast Missourian. A graduate of the University of Missouri Journalism School, she's worked as a reporter, photographer, editor and as the executive director of two not-for-profit organizations. After living in Michigan and then Indiana, she moved back to her hometown of Jackson, Mo. Main Street Station Dedication set in Jackson

The law firm of Lichtenegger, Weiss & Fetterhoff LLC will hold a dedication and open house at 4:30 p.m. next Monday, June 21, for its new office, Main Street Station, at 2408 East Main Street in Jackson. U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson will be the featured speaker. Other speakers include the Rev. David Johnson, Jackson Mayor Barbara Lohr and state Rep. Scott Lipke. Lipke and Thad M. Brady recently joined the law firm. An open house and tours of the building will follow the dedication ceremony until 6:30 p.m. Space is still available for lease in the new facility.   • What in the world is going on here? An office building opens its doors on the desolate East Main Street in Jackson and we have more dignitaries than Cape had when the Emerson Bridge opened. Smells like a campaign party push for Donna Litchenegger to me. Our taxpayer dollars at work gentlemen.
