Jackson Chamber receives donation for renovations
The Jackson Chamber of Commerce recently received a $20,000 anonymous donation to renovate its boardroom facilities.
The refurbished board room will feature new furnishings, flooring and new a media center.
"The goal of the renovations is to encourage Jackson Chamber of Commerce members to use the boardroom and its accessories free of charge for seminars, training, interviews and meetings," said Brian Gerau, executive director.
The media center will include a sound system, WiFi Internet access, desks and tables for where meetings can be held.
"This is a great opportunity for Chamber members to utilize our boardroom as their own," Gerau aid.
The renovations, at the Chamber's office at 125 E. Main Street in Jackson, are scheduled to be completed in mid-August.
