The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Alan Michael Heiss, 21, of Bell City, Missouri, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for possession of alcohol by a minor.
  • Sherry Lynn Niederbach, 38, 180 Arikara Lane, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation for dangerous drugs and on suspicion of stealing merchandise at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
  • Adrian Marcellus Driver, 49, 12 Pindwood Drive Apt. 2, was arrested on a Sikeston, Missouri, warrant for failure to appear.
  • Judy Carol Whelpley, 62, 1900 N. Kingshighway Lot B4, was arrested on a Perry County, Missouri, warrant for felony probation violation for possession of a controlled substance.
  • Shannon L. Gooding, 34, 180 Arikara Lane, was arrested on suspicion of stealing merchandise at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
  • Thomas G. Jordan, 35, 2810 Hawthorne Road, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for traffic violation and on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.

  • Karley A. McDaniel, no age given, of Mulkeytown, Illinois, was issued a summons for striking a lawfully stopped vehicle at the intersection of Sprigg and Normal streets.
  • Brittany N. Stewart, 19, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for stealing clothing from Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
  • Gary R. Wilfong, 33, of Jackson was issued a summons for stealing clothing from Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.

Thefts

  • Theft of a debit card, driver's license and cellphone and fraudulent use of a credit or debit device were reported at 112 N. Sprigg Street.
  • A check was reported stolen at 3254 Kage Hill Drive.
  • Medications were reported stolen at 81 Edgewood Drive.

Miscellaneous

  • Sexual misconduct was reported.
  • A 44-year-old man was placed into protective custody.
  • Tampering with a motor vehicle was reported.
  • Making a false report was reported.
