Cape Girardeau

The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWIs

  • Alton E. McCain, 24, of 212 Hillvale, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, exhibition driving, no proof of insurance and failure to drive on right half of the roadway.
  • Alshawnte A. Wiggins, 23, of Cairo, Ill., was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, unlawful use of a weapon, receiving stolen property and failure to maintain lane.
  • Tracy Kent Williams, 41, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation for DWI.

Arrests

  • A subject was taken into custody pending filing of formal charges for a false declaration charge.
  • Sheila E. Bass, 35, of 1128 S. Kingshighway, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana.
  • Latisha R. Smith, 22, of 801 S. Benton St., was arrested on suspicion of stealing more than $500.
  • Carol J. Glass, 23, of Sikeston, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of stealing.
  • Bryan K. Bailey, 19, of Mound City, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of receiving of stolen firearm.
  • Albert J. Lewis, 20, of Mound City, Ill., was arrested on suspicion of receiving a stolen firearm.
  • Two subjects were in custody pending filing of formal charges for stealing.

Assaults

  • An assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest by fleeing, failure to yield to emergency vehicle, six counts possession of marijuana, failure to yield to turn signal, stop sign violation, speeding and C&I driving was reported.

Property damage

  • A door facing and chain lock were reported damaged at 915 Maple St.

Theft

  • A cell phone was reported stolen from 2346 Broadway.

Arrests

  • Derrick K. House, 23, of 1527 Deerwood, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for passing bad checks.
  • Chas E. Heberlie, 25, of 605 E. Adams St., Apt. 4, was arrested on suspicion of driving while suspended, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Carl J. Williams, 34, of 405 N. Russell St., was arrested on suspicion of child abuse.

Theft

  • A theft was reported on West Jackson Boulevard.

Property damage

  • Property was reported damaged in the 2200 block of Oak Street.

Miscellaneous

  • A domestic dispute was reported in the 1700 block of Ridge Road.
  • A domestic dispute was reported in the 1500 block of West Independence Street.
  • A domestic dispute was reported in the 300 block of East Lane.
  • Harassment was reported on the 2000 block of Old Toll Road.
  • Trespassing was reported in the 2200 block of East Main Street.
  • Trespassing was reported in the 100 block of Donald Street.
  • Trespassing was reported in the 300 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
