The Cape Girardeau branch of Ford Credit is a recipient of the company's 1997 President's Award.

The local branch received the award during a ceremony held in Dearborn, Mich., earlier this month.

The award, one of 29 presented worldwide, is for top-performing branch offices that consistently provided superior services to their retail, retail lease and dealer customers.

Ford Credit's financing operations provide a variety of products and services for more than 11,000 Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealers, with 236 branches in 35 countries around the world.
