The Arvin Industry's Parts Improvement Team (PIT) from Dexter has received the 1998 President's Award from Arvin Industry Inc., as the best manufacturing team for exhaust regional equipment division facilities.

The Dexter team was one of 90 competing teams from North America, including the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Members of the Dexter team include: Bobby Smith, Carolyn Nelson, Teresa Lemons, Dallas Buchanan, Royce Ellsworth, Myron Walker and Danny Scott, all with 25 years service; Floyd Stitz, 24 years; Donald Green, 23 years; Mike Williams, 20 years; Tom Morgan, 18 years; Shannon Collier and Curtis McClard, 16 years;

Ellsworth is supervisor of the team and Walker is unit manager over fabrication mufflers.
