Richard Kinsey has joined Optioncare as director of marketing. Kinsey, who has 13 years experience in the health-care industry, received his nursing degree from Southeast Missouri State University. He worked at Southeast Missouri Hospital nine years, and received his registry in invasive cardiovascular technology while working in the cardiovascular services department...

Richard Kinsey has joined Optioncare as director of marketing.

Kinsey, who has 13 years experience in the health-care industry, received his nursing degree from Southeast Missouri State University. He worked at Southeast Missouri Hospital nine years, and received his registry in invasive cardiovascular technology while working in the cardiovascular services department.

Kinsey then worked as a territory manager in sales, marketing and clinical applications for an international medical laser company.

Optioncare provides services in the home for infusion of medication, nutrition support and various other home medical therapies.

Cape Girardeau's soon-to-be city manager, Michael Miller, will be guest speaker at the West End Merchants Association Oct. 16.

The October meeting will be held at Drury Lodge at 5:30 p.m.

Miller was named city manager in mid-August.

The public is invited to attend the West End Merchants meeting.

Ruth Dockins of Cape Girardeau has joined SEMO Area Agency on Aging, 1219 N. Kingshighway, as public information director.

Dockins previously worked with the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission at Perryville.

Dr. Kimberly Coolidge, of Kessinger Specific Chiropractic, 1424 Kurre Lane in Cape Girardeau, has received a certificate for completing 100 hours postgraduate work in the specific chiropractic Brian Stem procedure.

Coolidge, trained by Dr. Micheal Kale, received 60 hours of training class time in Spartanburg, S.C., and 40 hours during a field mission trip to Moldova, Russia, where she took part in checking more than 39,000 patients.

Walter J. and Iris Ford, of Ford & Sons Funeral Home, attended the 78th annual meeting of National Selected Morticians held at the Grand Hyatt in Washington.

The Fords attended special seminars and study sessions concerning a number of topics, including "How to deal with the changing Funeral Service Marketplace," and "Planning for Your Facility's Growth."

Membership in the group is by invitation only. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has been a member since 1962.

Bill Eastman of Independence has been named vice president of Development for the Missouri Easter Seal Society.

Eastman, who previously served as director of development for the group, will be responsible for coordinating statewide fund-raising efforts and will work with the five regional offices, including Cape Girardeau.

Other regional offices are at Springfield, Jefferson City-Columbia, St. Louis and Kansas City.

Randy Martin has been appointed to the position of corporate controller by Spartech Corp. of St. Louis.

Martin of St. Louis is a certified public accountant and a graduate of Eastern Illinois University at Charleston.

Spartech has two operations in Cape Girardeau -- Spartech Plastics, 2500 Spartech Drive, and Spartech Compounding on Nash Road.
