Chesner, who has been involved in the restaurant business for 14 years, learned Italian cuisine from his grandmother in California and French cuisine from Yeve Menez, one of the top 12 French chefs. He added to his chef talents two years ago with Greek cuisine.

Chesner has been in the Cape Girardeau area two years.

"We have two areas here with two menus," he said, in reference to Mark Anthony's Cafe and Anthony's Villa. The cafe, open from 11 to 2 p.m., with evening hours starting at 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, features signature sandwiches, soups and salads, desserts and short orders.

The Villa, opened Wednesday through Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m., features a full menu of entrees.
