NEW ON THE BUSINESS SCENE: UNIQUE TAN & BAR OPENS IN JACKSON

Unique Tan & Bar opened recently at 502 W. Main in Jackson.

The new business features VIP Gold tanning beds, equipped with CD players and air conditioning.

The new shop, owned by Kevin and Nique Sawyer, also carries a variety of skin-care products, including lotions and moisturizers, and swim and sports wear.

The Sawyers are certified by the Association of Responsible Tanning Salons. Two employees at the business, Jenny Ackerman and Dee Wren, have more than six years experience in the tanning industry.

Tropical juices and other non-alcoholic fruit drinks are available at the tropical juice bar.

Unique Tans is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 6 Sunday.
