Engineer hired by Lockheed Martin Corp.

Kevin Lankheit has been hired to work for Lockheed Martin Corp. as a systems engineer for field tech support at the company's Fort Campbell, Ky., facility. Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control produces the TopScene mission rehearsal system for the U.S. military. TopScene uses image data from satellites and other sources by converting the two-dimensional images into 3-D "fly-through" and "walk-through" battlefield visualization simulation scenarios. Lankheit is the son of Cliff and Melanie Lankheit of Jackson.

Two elected to Veterans Home Foundation Board

Two new members were elected to the Veterans Home Foundation Board. Bob Basler of Cape Girardeau was elected treasurer, and Bruce Austin of Charleston was elected a board member. The 11-member board oversees the spending of all donations and supervises the home's Perpetual Trust Fund. Other members are Wayne Maupin of Jackson; Glenneta Vogelsang, Betty E. Cato, Lois Woodford and Neal Edwards, all of Cape Girardeau; David Crader of Perryville; Jim Harnes of Advance and Sen. Rob Mayer of Dexter. The board president is Charles Hutson of Jackson.

Dana Corp. names June employee of the month

Kevin Estes, a cell technician at Dana Corp., has been named the June employee of the month. Estes has worked at the Cape Girardeau facility since 1997. He is assigned to department 100 on third shift. Estes lives in Chaffee, Mo.
