Tinsley joins staff of Divine Homes

Christie Tinsley has joined the team of real estate agents at Divine Homes Realty. She is a member of the Cape Girardeau Board of Realtors, Cape Girardeau County Multiple Listing and Missouri Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors.

Financial manager qualifies for conference

William Brockmire of Cape Girardeau, a financial service manager with Prudential Financial, recently qualified to attend the firm's agency distribution masters conference in Hawaii.

Brockmire is one of only a few who qualified for the conference, which honored outstanding sales achievement and excellence in customer service during 2002.

Burchett completes timber harvest training

Tim Burchett of Marble Hill, Mo., recently completed professional timber harvester logger training through a program sponsored by the Missouri Forest Products Association and Missouri Department of Conservation.

The training included five days of instruction on forest management, logging safety and protective equipment. The course was held in Piedmont, Mo.

Workforce Investment Board promotes two

Dodi Elledge and Susan Dubs, both of Cape Girardeau, have been promoted to new jobs at the Workforce Investment Board.

Elledge is the new compliance technician for the board. She works primarily with the "toolbox" employment system at the office.

Dubs is the transportation liaison for the board, coordinating the transportation project in the seven northern counties of the region, including Cape Girardeau, Perry and Bollinger counties.

The Workforce Investment Board provides transportation to residents in Cape Girardeau and Scott counties who work at Gilster Mary Lee and McBride in Perryville.

Dubs is a graduate of Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University.

The Workforce Investment Board is a private, nonprofit corporation that oversees federal and state funded job training programs.

Lumos joins staff of Tender Hearts center

Theresa Lumos has recently joined the staff of Tender Hearts Child Therapy Center in Cape Girardeau. The center offers counseling to adults, children, couples and families.

Lumos graduated in August from Southeast Missouri State University with academic distinction and earned a master's degree in community counseling. She will serve the Cape Girardeau, Jackson and Sikeston offices for the child therapy centers and will continue working on accreditation as a marriage and family therapist.

She is the wife of the Rev. Denny Lumos, campus minister at the Wesley Foundation at Southeast Missouri State University.
