The award was presented last week at the Governor's Small Business 2001 Summer at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield, Ill. Maloney owns Just for Kids Day Care in Eldorado.
She started her home child-care business in 1995. She obtained a Small Business Administration (SBA) and expanded her business with a new structure, providing more than 3,000 square feet and five classrooms. She cares for 65 children full and part time.
