Davis, a 15-year veteran of the Cape Girardeau Police Department, will serve a two-year term, representing Region E.

The board handles safety issues, identified traffic safety needs and works with legislative bodies to pass needed laws.

Davis is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He has a master's degree in criminal justice. He also serves on the Technical Committee of the Missouri Division of Highway Safety, land oversees the computer program Missouri Traffic Information Systems.
