5 'Gone Girl' actors you may not know

The star-studded cast of the upcoming mystery thriller "Gone Girl" has been well documented, but there are some very intriguing names that may get lost among Affleck, Perry and Patrick-Harris. Here are five Gone Girl actors who are not household names but have played in other roles you might remember.

Emily Ratajkowski

Pop music fans will undoubtedly recognize this British-born model turned actress from her prominent role in the music video for Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines." Already an accomplished model, Ratajkowski has now set her sights on the big screen. Although she does not currently boast an overly impressive film resume, she is quickly making a name for herself as a sex symbol on magazine covers and "the girl you love to hate." Ratajkowski's role as the main character's mistress, Andie, in "Gone Girl" could launch her acting career.

Kim Dickens

She may not be a household name, but Kim Dickens is a Hollywood veteran. She may be best known for her role as Mrs. Boswell in "The Blind Side", but her face will be familiar to fans of TV shows "Sons of Anarchy", "Friday Night Lights" and "Lost" where she played Cassidy Phillips. She also played a role in "Deadwood." Dickens plays the role of detective Rhonda Boney in "Gone Girl."

Patrick Fugit

You would think that the actor who played William Miller in the Oscar-winning 2000 film Almost Famous would be well-known to most movie goers, but Patrick Fugit hasn't landed much significant screen time in a major motion picture since. He has appeared in eight films since 2011, but Fugit isn't likely someone you would likely recognize on the street. Fugit plays Kim Dickens' sarcastic counterpart, detective Jim Gilpin.

Missi Pyle

The most accomplished of the actors on our list, Missi Pyle has an extensive resume ranging from her role as Constance in the Best Picture winner "The Artist" to cult comedy classics "Galaxy Quest and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story." She has been cast in subordinate roles alongside larger-than-life personalities such as Queen Latifah, Will Ferrell and John Goodman. Pyle's willingness to do anything for a laugh (a fight scene with Queen Latifah and an unrecognizable costume in Dodgeball) makes her memorable despite the secondary roles. Pyle plays Ellen Abbott in "Gone Girl", a popular TV personality which most fans of the novel compare to Nancy Grace.

Carrie Coon

Carrie Coon is a recognizable name for people with an affinity for theater, but that's not the case for movie fans. Coon, 33, won a Tony Award nomination and a World Theater Award for her performance in her Broadway debut "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?". Coon will play Nick Dunne's (Ben Affleck) twin sister Margo Dunne in "Gone Girl".
