Around 100 children got to Shop with a Hero Tuesday morning, Dec. 6, 2011 at Walmart in Cape Girardeau. This is the 20th year that Walmart has held the Christmas shopping event that allows children to shop with donated money for toys, clothing or any item of their choice within the amount raised. This year each child received around $85 to spend with the help of local police officers, firefighters and first responders.
