People plunge into the cold waters of Lake Boutin Saturday afternoon, Feb. 2, 2013 during the Polar Plunge at Trail of Tears State Park. Thirty-six teams totaling 291 people took the annual plunge that benefits Special Olympics Missouri.

The lake's water temperature Saturday was 28 degrees. Thirty-six teams totaling 291 people took the annual plunge that benefits Special Olympics. Each team has to raise a minimum of 75 dollars to participate.
