The Cape Girardeau Police Department and Cape Girardeau Fire Department held a grappling tournament to benefit Special Olympics Missouri on Saturday, July 24. Around 400 people attended the first Grappling for Good fundraising tournament, held Saturday, July 24, in the Eagles Banquet Hall at 321 N. Spring Ave. in Cape Girardeau. Police department Sgt. and organizer of the tournament Joey Hann said the blue team, CGPD, won the overall tournament, and around $8,000 was raised for Special Olympics Missouri.
