Those who have lost loved ones from overdose or are in recovery from it, and others who support the International Overdose Awareness Day Honor Walk gathered for the event on Monday, Aug. 31, 2020, at Liberty Corner in Capaha Park. The event began with a few speakers before the group began walking along Broadway to Houck Stadium and back to Freedom Corner at North West End Boulevard and Broadway. Participants held posters that brought awareness to those who witnessed them pass by and pictures of loved ones lost.
