Rob Lewis shared that this picture was published Nov. 16, 1962. Here is the caption:

Mrs. Freeman Lewis is one of Cape Girardeau's library patrons who makes frequent use of the art prints collection, a new service this year with the Public Library. Here, with librarian Gene Martin, she is making a selection for her home. Although she is looking at Vlaminck's "The Barn," she decided on a painting by Van Gogh as her current choice. Like many other patrons, Mrs. Lewis is delighted with the art print lending service.

Breakfast Optimists received their shipment of holiday fruit cakes for distribution to purchasers throughout the city. Sales have been underway for some time and members after their meeting Monday picked up their cartons and have started distribution.
