[Centenary men instituted their turkey supper in 1960. The men’s and women’s organizations of Centenary had pooled their funds to build new and wide sidewalks on both the Ellis and Bellevue sides of the church.]

Through the cold, crisp night air, young voices of carolers wafted the songs of Christmas to bring comfort and cheer to the sick and shut-ins. This group of Central High School girls, members of Sigma Alpha Sigma sorority, went to hospitals and nursing homes after starting their trek from the home of Mrs. Juel Mosley, grandmother of Miss Diane Mosley in front row left. Also in front left to right are: Miss Sue Springer, Miss Sherry Harris, Miss Debbie Elfrank and Miss Donna Shivelbine. More members are in the background. (G.D.
