This is the season of Thanksgiving and pupils at Lorimier School, like those at others throughout the city, are studying about the major holiday. Pupils of Mrs. James A. Waller learn Thanksgiving songs for an assembly Nov. 21 in which they will appear. Getting to the heart of things, Wayne Heise, a Lutheran School pupil, concentrates on a project at Campus High School science display in which two Campus pupils have set out to study the heartbeat of a frog. Dramatizing the “Popcorn Song,” these first graders at Franklin School enact the roles of bell-ringer, Bobby Wells; corn-popper (with the sticks) David Graham, customers Becky Fox and Debra Gurley; and the Popcorn Man, Randy Adams.
