It wasn't Christmas at the postoffice Friday, but this mass of boxes made a scene similar to one during the holidays. However, when a huge 40-foot trailer dumped 27,000 pounds of free soap samples to be delivered by carriers in Cape Girardeau and district towns, it was an incident not eagerly awaited by the clerks. Here clerks Silas Dohogne and Perry Krekel prepare the shipments for district communities. Foot carriers then have to lug the stuff from house to house.
