A fourth debate between candidates for the 8th Congressional District race has been set for 7 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Farmington Civic Center.
All of the candidates have agreed to the debate except Republican Richard Kline, according to Jo Ann Emerson's campaign coordinators.
The candidates are scheduled to appear in their third debate 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Leach Theater at the University of Missouri-Rolla. The first two were held in Cape Girardeau and West Plains.
Emerson said in a written statement that "the more folks get to know about the candidates, the more they like my conservative stand on the issues."
"I look forward to the opportunity to again put forth my conservative, common sense ideas before the public in Farmington," she said.
Marc Powers, communications director for Democratic candidate Emily Firebaugh, said Firebaugh is also looking forward to another debate.
"If we could do a debate a day we would," Powers said. "The first two debates were very spirited and we're looking forward to spirited debates in Rolla and Farmington."
