An Advance, Mo., man was killed Tuesday night after his car hit a tree and overturned.

Around 7:45 p.m. a 1992 Chevrolet driven by Adam L. Propst, 23, was traveling westbound on Route A 4 miles west of Dutchtown when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. The Chevrolet then struck a tree and overturned.

Propst, who was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead at the scene about an hour later by Cape Girardeau County Coroner John Clifton. Tuesday was the 11th fatal accident in the highway patrol Troop E's area.
