ADVANCE -- The third annual Advance Rock Festival will be held July 17 in Maberry Park in Advance.

The concert, to be held from 4-10 p.m., will feature performances by the bands Human Zoo, Fried Jam, Group Therapy, Dillagence and Glue.

Admission to the festival is free. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed in the park.

The lineup calls for Glue to begin at 4 p.m., followed by Dillagence at 5 p.m. and Group Therapy at 6:15 p.m.

Fried Jam is scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m., followed by Human Zoo at 8:45 p.m.

Human Zoo plays a mix of covers and originals, from Southern rock to hard rock and Seattle grunge. Two of the band members, rhythm guitar player Todd Mayberry and lead guitarist Scott Slinkard, are from Advance. Bassist Shawn Asmus is from Chaffee, and dummer Eric White from Perryville.

Fried Jam, whose three members hail from Cape Girardeau, plays rock 'n' roll and alternative music. The group consists of Alex Allen, guitar; Billy Keys, keyboards and vocals; and Keller Ford, drums.

Group Therapy plays rock 'n' roll, and includes drummer Richard McGaugh of Cape, guitarist/keyboardist Les Wright, guitarist Tony Thomas and bassist Scotti Rose.

Dillagence plays heavy metal. Four of its five members are from Jackson. They are Ralph Rumfelt, vocals; Lee Davis, lead and rhythm guitar; Vince Martin, rhythm guitar; and Jon Hedrick, drums. Bassist Don Joyce is from Cape Girardeau.

Glue is a Southern rock band that has been together for six months. It includes Andy French, bass, from Advance: Marcus Streeter, guitar, from Oran; Shawn Frederick, drums, from Bell City; and Clint Lacey, lead vocals, from Advance.
