AREA NURSES NOMINATED FOR STATEWIDE TRIBUTE

Area nurses have been nominated for "A Tribute to Missouri Nurses," sponsored by the St. Louis University School of Nursing.

Area nurses nominated are Kathryn Blevins of the East Missouri Action Agency; Linda Heitman of Southeast Missouri Hospital; Jo Dillard Tanner of the Metro Business College; Jeanne Heise of the Cape Girardeau School District; Bobbi Morris of Southeast Missouri Hospital; Kathy Ritter of St. Francis Medical Center; Chris Sheets of Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Nominations have been gathered from across the state.

A selection committee will pick 14 finalists to be honored at a black-tie gala May 13 at Grant's Farm in St. Louis. At that time, five awardees will be named from among the finalists.

The five awardees will receive $1,000 and a specially commissioned crystal sculpture.

All 14 finalists will designate a Missouri school of nursing to receive a scholarship in their honor.
