The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri will host its annual membership meeting, election of new officers and presentation of the Otto F. The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri will host its annual membership meeting, election of new officers and presentation of the Otto F. Dingeldein Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts on Saturday, Sept. 23.

The 6:30 p.m. event will be held at the Port Cape Girardeau Restaurant in downtown Cape Girardeau. Entertainment will be provided by Bud Miget.

Tickets are $17.50 per person and are available at the Arts Council office, 1707 Mt. Auburn Rd.

Nominees to the council's board of directors are Dr. Edwin Smith, a professor of art at Southeast; Lee Ann Hansen, owner of Hansen's Collectibles; and Danny Essner, senior vice president at Boatmen's Bank.

The proposed slate of officers for the board are Chuck McGinty, chairman; Marge Sullivan, vice chairman; Marta Green, secretary; and Freck Shivelbine, treasurer.

Nominations for "The Otto" will be taken at the Arts Council office through Friday.
