Patsy Seabaugh, a cottage supervisor at Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center, located on Southeast Missouri State University campus in Cape Girardeau, recently received "Employee of the Year" honors at the center.

Cottonwood, a Missouri Department of Mental Health facility, provides residential psychiatric treatment services to youths, ages 6-17, who have emotional and behavioral problems.

Seabaugh, supervisor for one of the girls' cottages, has been with the center since it opened in 1987.

Three Cape Girardeau area physicians will receive the Physician's Recognition Award from the Missouri State Medical Association.

Dr. Jerry L. Kinder, Dr. Paul A. Spence and Dr. Gregory A. Tobin earned the award by voluntarily completing 150 credit hours of continuing medical education courses in a three-year period.

The award is sponsored by the state medical association and the American Medical Association.

Jim Crain of Cape Girardeau, operator of the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy, 864 N. Kingshighway, has received the company's 1992 Community Service Award, presented by Medicine Shoppe International, Inc.

Medicine Shoppe pharmacies offer a variety of more than 10 different health care screenings. In addition, they offer education programs on drug interactions, vitamins and other pharmacy-related issues.

Dr. Michael C. Wulfers of Cape Girardeau recently attended the 45th annual Scientific Assembly of the Missouri Academy of Family Physicians at Tan-Tar-A Resort at Osage Beach.

Wulfers, a member of the American Academy of Family Physi~cians, attended several workshops and seminars during the four-day meeting.

Dr. Jack "Duke" Rushin of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Jackson, has been named "Chiropractor of the Year."

Rushing received his honor last weekend during a meeting of the Missouri State Chiropractic Association convention.

Dr. Jack Kessinger of Rolla is president of the association. In attendance at the last weekend's convention was Kessinger's son, Dr. Robert Kessinger, a specific chiropractor, who operates a clinic at Cape Girardeau.

Also attending the convention was Dr. D. Warren Salzmann of Jackson, of the Jackson Chiropractic Health Center, 212 S. Union, Jackson.

ANNA, Ill. Mary Ehrstein, an employee of National Homecare Systems here, recently received a new car for job achievement.

Ehrstein was winner of a new Buick Skylark, through National Homecare's Quality Safety Sweepstakes.

National Homecare, based at Chicago, is an agency provider for homecare services. The program rewards employees with prizes for work safety and efficiency. Ehrstein was one of the high achievers who qualified for the sweepstakes.

Ehrstein, of Metropolis, has worked with National Homecare since 1985.

David D. Kinsey of Sesser, Ill., a Modern Woodmen of America representative for the Cape Girardeau area, has attained the Fraternal Insurance Counselor designation.

The title is an educational designation that can be earned by career life underwriters associated with fraternal insurance societies. Modern Woodmen of America is a fraternal life insurance society headquartered at Rock Island, Ill.

Brad Amrhein, pharmacist and manager of Medical Pharmacy franchise in Scott City, has earned a Master Capsule Club Award for outstanding sales performance.

Also honored during the recent Medical Pharmacies annual meeting at West Des Moines, Iowa, was Ben Tally Jr., pharmacist and manager of a Medical Pharmacy franchise at 1020 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau, who received a President's Club Award for sales performance.

Others earning a President's Club Award were Jim Teegarden, Kevin Teegarden and Sue Teegarden, who own and manage the Medicap franchise in Chaffee.

Steven M. Green, assistant vice president of Capital Bank of Cape Girardeau, recently completed the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking.

The school is conducted at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

More than 100 bankers from 15 states were among the June graduates.
