No one was injured in a fire early Saturday morning at a duplex just off West Cape Rock Drive, a firefighter said.
Assistant chief Kelly Allen of the East County Fire Protection District said the fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze, which destroyed the building.
Firefighters received the call at 3:04 a.m., Allen said.
The building -- a 1,000-square-foot duplex on Tomahawk Lane, off West Cape Rock Drive, near Highway 177 -- was a total loss, he said.
