Cape Girardeau County residents in the Millersville area are under a boil-water order until further notice, the Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center announced.
A water main was broken near Bird Creek bottoms along Highway 72 during excavations, said Amanda Haimes, clerk for Public Water Supply District No. 2. The area affected by the boil-water order is from Bird Creek bottom east to Cape Girardeau County Road
345.
The water line has been repaired but the boil-water order will remain in effect until tests are complete, Haimes
said.
