U.S. Sen. Kit Bond recently announced that the Department of Agriculture will send Missouri more than $2 million in federal funds.
"With the help of these federal dollars, a number of important projects across Missouri will be possible," he said in a news release. "For these communities, today's dollars will mean a new water and sewer system, new equipment for firefighters, emergency warning alarms and new job opportunities."
Among the 10 projects to receive a portion of the $2,263,528 heading to the state, the city of Oak Ridge will receive a $303,000 grant and a $456,000 loan to build a grinder pump collection system to serve 118 users in rural Cape Girardeau County.
