Thirty-one area residents will participate in the Great Books Program this fall at Southeast Missouri State University.

Participants will read six specified books, discuss them with faculty members and take part in a two-hour group discussion on each book.

This is the fourth year for the program at Southeast. Participants pay only for their books, which range from $2.50 to $6 each. Faculty donates their time in leading discussions.

The sessions will be held from 2-4 p.m. in the Missouriana Room of the University Center on Oct. 11 and 25, Nov. 8 and 22, and Dec. 6.
