`CAMP SUPERKIDS' APPLICATION DEADLINE SET

"Camp Superkids" will again offer boys and girls ages 8-13 who have asthma a unique opportunity to enjoy summer camp.

At the same time, campers will learn more about their asthma and how to be more independent in their asthma care and management.

Now in its 10th year, "Camp Superkids" is sponsored by the American Lung Association of Eastern Missouri. The camp will be held June 20-26 at YMCA of the Ozarks' Camp Lakewood near Potosi.

Application deadline for "Camp Superkids" is May 15.

Special support for the camp is offered by Southeast Missouri Hospital through professional staff and supplies.

"Camp Superkids" fee for each child is $200 for the week. The fee represents just a portion of the actual cost for a child to attend the camp. Contributions from civic and professional organizations, businesses and individuals have helped offset some of the costs.

In addition, the Lung Association has available a limited number of full and partial campership grants so that a child who would benefit from "Camp Superkids" will not be denied the experience because of financial considerations.
