CAPE DUPLICATE BRIDGE WINNERS ARE ANNOUNCED

Winners of the Cape Girardeau Duplicate Bridge Club open game held April 24 were first place Paul Gilbert and Tom Wood; second place, Paul Fluerdelys and Corina Ho; and third place, Ann Bartlett and Dorothy Neal.

Cape Girardeau bridge players also competed in the Showers of Silver spring sectional tournament held here April 10-12. Norma Blattner and Mary Alice Regenhardt place first among all contestants holding up to 750 masterpoints. In the Swiss Team event, the team of Jessie Brown, Betty Miles, Dorothy Waller and John Whitehead placed first among players with 0-300 masterpoints.

Other area players who placed during the three-day tournament include Jackie Davis, Terry Ernst, Janis Gilbert, Corina Ho, Peggy and Milton Sadler and Norma and Ed Stoever.

The club meets on the second and fourth Fridays of each month in the Hirsch Room of the Cape Girardeau Public Library.
