Public hearings* Held a public hearing on the necessity to improve Missouri Street from Mississippi Street to Scott Street.* Held a public hearing regarding the necessity to make certain sewer improvements in Lateral Sewer District No. 14-M-2 and certain lots in Lateral Sewer District No. 14-R-1, Lakeshore Drive area.

Consent ordinances* Vacated an ordinance vacating the citys interest in a utility easement in Cape Meadows Subdivision.* Changed the zoning of part of 238 S. Spanish St. from M-1 to R-4.* Granted a special use permit to Ruth A. and Earl H. Norman, Trustees, and the North Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for constructing, maintaining and operating a church at the northeast corner of Lexington Avenue and Steven Drive.* Authorized the acquisition of property for the sanitary sewer improvement program project, lift stations and force mains.* Accepted deeds from various property owners for the Hopper Road bridge project. Second and third readings.* Changed the speed limit on part of Kingshighway.* Approved the record plat of Wyandotte Acres Subdivision.

New ordinances* Established a handicapped parking space on Park Avenue.* Approved plans for sewer improvements to the Lakeshore Drive area.

Resolutions* Authorized the city manager to execute a wrecker service agreement with Seabaugh's Auto Repair and AAA Wrecker Service.

Liquor licenses* Granted a temporary 5 percent beer by the drink license for the St. Vincent de Paul Home and School Association for an event to be held in the A.C. Brase Arena Building on Nov. 16.* Approved a temporary 5 percent beer by the drink license for Southeast Missouri Hospital Foundation for an event to be held at the Show Me Center on Nov. 12.* Granted a 5 percent beer by the drink license for Cafe Alexander Toro Lee Inc., d/b/a Cafe Alexander, 1034 Broadway.

Other* Approved the request of the Knights of Columbus regarding their annual Tootsie Roll drive.* A motion accepting the street, sanitary sewer, water improvements and storm sewers in the street right-of-way for Northfield 18th Subdivision and authorizing the release of the escrow agreement covering these improvements.* Accepted the street improvements along a portion of Shirley Drive. * Accepted street, sewer and water improvements along a portion of Shirley Drive from the end of construction for Lowe's hardware to Lambert Street and Lambert Street from Siemers Drive to the entrance of Sam's Club.* Accepted streets, storm and sanitary sewers and water improvements to serve LaCroix Meadows Business Park.* Approved the preliminary plat of Randol Farms 8th, 9th and 10th Subdivision.
