* A public hearing to consider vacating the city's interest in an unused utility easement along 5809 and 5839 Langholm Drive.

Consent agenda

* An ordinance granting a special-use permit to Myrle Malone, Tim Smith and Kerry Smith for the purpose of maintaining and operating a mix of residential and commercial uses at 260 N. Middle St.

* An ordinance readopting sections 2-76 to 2-83 of the city code relating to conflicts of interest.

* A resolution authorizing the city manager to execute a license and indemnity agreement with RCH Development Inc. for parking lot improvements at Cape Riverview Apartments.

* An ordinance vacating the city's interest in utility easements along 5809 and 5839 Langholm Drive.

* An ordinance approving the record plat of a minor subdivision Marquette Centre.

* An ordinance approving the record plat of Resubdivision of Lots L352, L353, and L354 of The Highlands at Dalhousie Phase IV.

* An ordinance calling a special election on the question of whether Cape Girardeau shall allow the licensing of excursion gambling boats in the city; designating Nov. 2 as the date of the election and authorizing and directing the city clerk to give notice of the election.

Appointments

* Appointments to the public library board.

Other business

* A motion filing the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission to deny the request of Michael Annis, Dale LaFont and Alicia LaFont to rezone the property at 402 Chesley Drive from R-1, single family suburban residential district, to R-3, high-density residential district, or in the alternative, a motion setting a public hearing on the request.
